What is NWOOF?

We are a 501(c)(3) 509a nonprofit organization and operate as a private foundation. The Foundation’s mission is “addressing the healthcare needs of individuals and families in NW Oklahoma while also promoting the osteopathic profession.”

The Foundation is governed by a board of directors and managed by an executive director. The Board is represented equally by osteopathic physicians and friends of osteopathic medicine.

We accomplish this mission by:

• Encouraging students interested in a career as a physician

• Assisting medical students with ties to NW Oklahoma

• Supporting physicians in NW Oklahoma through educational and social networking opportunities

• Recruiting physicians to NW Oklahoma

• Awarding grants to non-profit organizations in NW Oklahoma that align with our mission
